Renee Clifton is an Aboriginal artist from the Kimberley, inspired by her heritage and deep connection to the land. Her contemporary works reflect waterholes, bush fruits, animals, and songlines, while also celebrating family. Painting with her mother and daughter, she values storytelling and shared history in their art. Renee’s work is influenced by time spent at Budgarjook, where family gatherings, fishing, and campfire stories strengthen their bond and her spirit, or ‘liyan.’
